Job description
As a Frontend Engineer at Zero One Group, you will work closely with our designers, product managers, and engineering team to build interactive, visually engaging, and high-quality websites for our clients. You will bring creative and design concepts to life through clean, responsive, and user-friendly frontend implementations. You will have the opportunity to work across different projects and business needs, using modern frontend technologies and platforms such as Shopify and WordPress to deliver impactful digital experiences. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the development process, from understanding requirements and translating designs into functional interfaces to optimizing performance, usability, and overall user experience.
Responsibilities
- Build interactive and highly visual websites for clients, according to desired specifications and requirements.
- Implement the latest interactive and data visualization tools and techniques to bring the creative direction of the website to life
- Ensuring that websites and features are easy-to-navigate to enhance user experience.
- Working collaboratively with team members including UI/UX designers and product managers to successfully deliver final products.
- Understanding priorities and managing tasks accordingly.
Requirements
- Experience with modern frontend technologies and frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Next.js, Vue, or SolidJS.
- Proven track record in building websites using Shopify or WordPress.
- Experience with using and understanding PHP and Liquid.
- Proven experience with frontend (e.g. HTML, CSS, and Javascript) technologies.
- Experience with UI design platforms such as Figma and Balsamiq.
- Understanding of software development best practices to help improve the software development process.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with modern UI and styling libraries such as Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and Radix UI. Experience implementing interfaces using vanilla CSS or other styling approaches is also highly valued.
- Experience working with frontend frameworks and tools such as Astro, React Router, TanStack Router, or TanStack Start.
- Experience working with headless CMS platforms such as Strapi, or other modern content management systems.
- Experience with WordPress development and customization.
- Experience working with a monorepo architecture and familiarity with any monorepo tooling such as Turborepo, Nx, pnpm workspaces, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development practices, component-based architecture, design systems, and reusable UI components.
