Job description
As a Product Engineer (Frontend) at Zero One Group, you’ll build fast, scalable, and userfriendly web experiences that create real value for our products and users. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to turn ideas into highquality, impactful solutions
Responsibilities
- Build modular UI components using React and Tailwind CSS; consume backend REST/GraphQL APIs; participate in code reviews and fix bug tickets.
- Understands component lifecycles, state vs. props, and responsive layouts. Uses AI tools to learn and scaffold UI components under guidance.
- Deliver endtoend frontend features independently; optimize Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores; write unit tests using Jest / React Testing Library
- Demonstrates clear judgment on clientside rendering vs. serverside rendering tradeoffs. Uses AI to accelerate development while reviewing outputs critically.
- Architect complex frontend applications and shared design systems; enforce web security (XSS/CSRF mitigation); mentor junior engineers.
- Has solved frontend scale challenges (caching, state synchronization). Demonstrates strong incident communication and multiproject priority management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with Next.js and modern styling frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with state management and data fetching libraries such as Zustand, Redux, or React Query.
- Familiarity with REST API and GraphQL integration.
- Experience with frontend testing using Jest or similar testing frameworks.
- Understanding of Design Systems and building reusable, scalable UI components.
- Familiarity with Microfrontends and modern frontend architecture.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals, frontend performance optimization, and web accessibility.
- Knowledge of frontend security practices, including XSS and CSRF prevention.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong problemsolving skills and a productoriented mindset, with the ability to translate product requirements into scalable and userfriendly frontend solutions
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Next.js, REST API, and Figma components.
- Experience with Core Web Vitals, Storybook, and Design Systems.
- Basic knowledge of Docker and Monorepo setups.
- Familiarity with WebSockets and CI/CD pipelines.
