Senior Product Manager

Zero One Technology is looking for a Product Manager to join our Team!

In Zero One Technology, you will work with a highly motivated team of designers, researchers and engineers to build software products that make a real difference to the businesses we work with. You’ll be able to directly implement your knowledge and grow in areas including agile methodology, full-stack development and business processes.

We invite you to apply for those eager to onboard this journey with us.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our product engineering team to make decisions on technology tradeoffs and build products that last.
  • Work with our UI/UX team to design beautiful and highly functional mockups.
  • Ensure the delivery of the scoped business requirements within the allocated budget and timeline.
  • Effectively bridge communication between the designers, engineers and clients.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with our clients.
  • Anticipate and scope for product requirements completed with features, milestones and engineering effort estimations.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English or Indonesian.
  • Strong communication skills, especially when conveying technical information to possibly non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of software-engineering best practices and the clients’ business requirements, and effectively balancing the two.
  • Experience in working with an agile product team. Experience as a project manager or product owner is not strictly required, but is considered a plus.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with frontend (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend (e.g. Python, APIs, databases) technologies. No direct experience is required, but a curiosity to explore these topics from an engineering perspective is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with UI design platforms (e.g. Figma).
  • A general interest in technology and innovations! Tell us about your tech stories, and we’d love to hear from you!

FAQ

Q: How is a product manager different to a project manager?
A: Product managers are expected to be more involved in setting the direction of the products, defining business requirements for our clients and weighing in on judgement calls for strategic decisions such as design, SOPs and tech infrastructure. Here in Zero One Technology, we prefer working in leaner, self-organising teams, so there is less emphasis on formal project management processes (such as PRINCE2/PMBOK) and more on getting things done (and no, not the course/certification).

Q: How is a product manager different to a product owner?
A: The two roles are very similar. In Zero One Technology, we would like to emphasise that we work on client projects, and the lifetime of a product is tied to the project timeline. A product owner in a typical SaaS company may work on one product for years, whereas the cycle may be shorter for product managers. It does mean that you’ll get to see a lot of projects across many domains!
