Developing an easy-to-use mobile application to streamline the investment experience for investors
Simpan is an asset management company dedicated to providing a seamless, secure, and efficient investment platform for individual investors in Indonesia, with a mission to simplify investing and build trust among retail investors. To support the launch of its digital services, the company set out to develop a powerful digital product that addresses key challenges faced by retail investors, delivering a streamlined, user-friendly solution that enhances accessibility and transparency in the investment process.
The Simpan mobile app delivers a transparent, user-friendly platform designed to empower individual investors in Indonesia to begin their investment journey with confidence. The app offers personalized projections based on each user’s profile, initial deposit, and monthly contributions, providing a clear view of their potential financial growth. Users also have easy access to detailed information on Simpan’s mutual funds, fostering greater transparency and trust throughout the investment experience.
We worked closely with the founders of Simpan to ideate and develop a platform that modernizes and digitizes traditional asset management systems in Indonesia. Our process began with a deep analysis of existing business flows and industry practices, identifying opportunities to simplify the investment experience while ensuring full compliance with OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan), Indonesia’s financial regulatory authority. By understanding the complexities of the conventional system, we crafted a product strategy aimed at making investing more accessible, particularly for the next generation of investors.
We successfully completed and handed over the Simpan mobile application to the team on October 2022. The product was delivered with all core features in place, designed to offer a user-friendly experience tailored to the needs of younger investors. It includes educational resources and an intuitive interface that simplifies investment management. Available on both iOS and Android, the app provides users with a seamless experience to monitor and manage their investments anytime, anywhere.
